A Maracuya Passion Fruit is smaller than you might expect. Growing no more than 90 centimeters when fully mature. She’s a beauty of green and orange, it can’t be denied. With long, thin serrated fan leaves, sugar-leaves and elongated buds, she’s gorgeous. Especially when you consider the abundance of amber pistils that turn her coloration golden.
Not recommended for total newbies. A good level of experience, optimum environment and plenty of space is required for vigorous growth. She’ll happily thrive in hydroponics (better for explosive growth) or organic soil ( improves the terpene profile, and the flavors). As pistils begin to appear, you can start marking off the days until harvest in 8 or 9 weeks.
