Boriqua #1 Angel’s Uptown Kush Seeds is a cross of a male Pot of Gold from the legendary Flying Dutchman seed bank. And equally important,  a female Grand Daddy Purple.  The plants can be  short and stout or conversely,  quite leggy and may need yo-yos or stakes to support the branches near the end of flowering. Named in honor of our late friend Angel.  13 regular seeds per package.

About Pot of Gold

Pot of Gold is a strain whose heritage includes the  Hindu Kush landrace strain that hails from Afghanistan.    Designed by the Flying Dutchmen Seeds the PoG was chosen for it’s sparkling buds, small stature and large yields. Nevertheless, the pure Indica Hindu Kush mother and the Skunk #1 father arrived in Holland back in 1985 from California. Similar to several foundational strains.

GROWING POT OF GOLD

Requiring between eight and ten weeks to finish flowering.  While Pot of Gold can be grown outdoors. Equally important, its three foot height makes it perfect for an indoor set up. Regardless, the strain prefers to be grown organically in soil.   Pot of Gold was crowned the champion of the 1998 HTCC by the celebrity judges.

ABOUT GRAND DADDY PURPLE

Granddaddy Purple, also known as “Grand Daddy Purple” or “GDP” or “Grand Daddy Purps,” is a heavy  strain created by combining the classic Big Bud X Purple Urkle strains.  Nevertheless, his flavorful flower is said occasionally to be the grandfather of all purple strains. In particular its infamous flavor  will leave you begging for more.

Sights and Smells

This bud has a super sweet grape flavor. Nevertheless, it  has a heavily pungent harsh aftertaste that can  overwhelm some. In this case the aroma is pretty powerful with hints of sweet grape and berry accented by a heavy spicy pungency that’s pretty harsh in itself, too. In any event, Granddaddy Purple buds are strikingly purple, spattered with bright fiery orange hairs and coated in sweet sticky resin.
