Also, color will vary from green with distinct traces of light purple to a vivid, uniform dark purple without any hint of green. Flowers also have noticeably fewer orange hairs. This hybrid’s  genetics are evident in its sticky, trichome-laden texture and as well as its tightly packed flowers. The resulting dried flower will smell fruity with notes of berry and earthiness. Grow Notes for Black Cherry Soda Seeds

The flowers turn purple due to the presence of anthocyanins. These are pigment molecules in the plant’s cells that lurk just beneath the more well-known pigment chlorophyll. Think of  the same way that foliage changes color in colder autumn weather.  Additionally, if the plant is exposed to a cooler environment in the flowering stage, the anthocyanins in these flowers  become more stimulated . As a result they will  produce more purple. Black Cherry Soda has been bred to contain a high volume of active anthocyanins. Consequently, Depending on the phenotype of your seeds, you’ll see varying degrees of saturated purple in the mature buds.

Cultivators of Black Cherry Soda will find success growing the strain both indoors and outdoors. Plants average about five to six feet tall. They  will begin to flower after eight weeks. The strain will produce a solid yield with large, chunky colas and a good leaf to bud ratio.

Although some traditionalists see this strain’s standout color as nothing more than gimmick “bag appeal,” its special flavor profile is undeniable.
