No one knows the exact lineage of Northern Lights No. 5. From what we could gather, it traces its root to an Afghanistrain. But there are also others who say it is a cross between Afghani and an unknown Thai.
Continuing improvement to the Strain
After taking the world by storm in the 90s, several breeders kept on working on improving the strain. BC Seed Company (from which Bodhi’s was derived) has worked on their version for more than two decades. Through inbreeding with the best phenotypes, they have released their variant of Northern Lights No. 5.

The rich aroma of this strain is derived from myrcene, β-Pinene, terpinolene, phellandrene, carene and D-Limonene.
Northern Lights No. 5 Smells

Growing Northern Lights #5

One of the reasons for the popularity of the strain is not only because of its wonderfulness. It is also because of the shorter harvest time. In as little as 6 weeks, growers could be harvesting.
About Triangle Kush
The Emerald Triangle is perhaps the most famous triangle on earth for flower enthusiasts, however Triangle Kush may be a close second. This strain from Florida is named as a tribute to Tampa, Jacksonville and Miami – the 3 giants of flower production in the state, and potentially the South in general. It is believed that the Triangle Kush was derived from the OG Kush of Florida, which in turn is linked to Hindu Kush, Lemon Thai and Chemdawg.
Smells
The plant and its buds have a very pungent and diesel-like aroma.
Growing the Triangle Kush
Hailing from Florida, the Triangle Kush usually flower at approximately 70 days. It has low yield both indoors and outdoors, but it can become quite tall during the initial 21 days of flowering. It is grown best in dry climates, with a high CO2 content and warm environment of up to 88 degrees. Optimum soil pH for growing the Triangle Kush is between 5.8 and 6.0.
